چکیده

SHARPE is a well known package in the field of reliability and performability, used in universities as well as in companies. A modeler who is familiar with many different kinds of models, can easily choose models that best suit a particular system and the kind of measure that is needed at each stage of the design. It is also possible to use different kinds of models hierarchically for different physical or abstract levels of the system and to use different kinds of models to validate each other’s results. Steady-state and transient computations are available in the tool. Figure 1 shows all the model types available in SHARPE and “X” denotes the available measures. The interested reader is referred to [1] for a detailed description of the tool. Also the reader can find more informations about the tool in the following web site www.ee.duke.edu/ kst/software packages.html .

Porting SHARPE on the WEB: Design and Implementation of a Network Computing Platform Using JAVA

Although on the one hand the Web has made a large amount of information easy to access for a great number of users, on the other it does not ooer any simple mechanisms to facilitate the use of a calculation application on the Internet. Recently, however, Java has been developed, a new language deened by Sun whose features make it ideal for the development of network applications. In this paper ...

An analytical approach to architecture-based software performance and reliability prediction

Conventional approaches to analyze the behavior of software applications are black box based, that is, the software application is treated as a whole and only its interactions with the outside world are modeled. The black box approaches ignore information about the internal structure of the application and the behavior of the individual parts. Hence they are inadequate to model the behavior of ...

An Analytical Approach to Architecture-Based Software Reliability Prediction

Prevalent approaches to software reliability modeling are black-box based, i.e., the the software system is treated as a monolithic entity and only its interactions with the outside world are modeled. However, with the advancement and widespread use of object oriented systems design and web-based development, the use of component-based software development is on the rise. Software systems are b...

Comparison of Portfolios Formed by Use of Grid Strategy Model Based on New and Traditional Variables Performance With Sharpe and Treynor Measures (Evidence of IRAN Exchange)

In this research, performance of portfolios formed by use of grid strategy based on new variables (aggressive, indifference and defensive stocks) presented by Rahnamaye Roodposhti (1388), and traditional ones (growth, growth-value and value stocks), calculated with Sharpe and Treynor performance measures and tested by an Active portfolio management approach to identify the portfolios by perform...

Performance Prediction of a Flexible Manufacturing System

The present investigation presents a stochastic model for a flexible manufacturing system consisting of flexible machine, loading/unloading robot and an automated pallethandling device. We consider unreliable flexible manufacturing cell (FMC) wherein machine and robot operate under individual as well as common cause random failures. The pallethandling system is completely reliable. The pallet o...
